Summary of Services

  • DEBT Counselling

National Debt Mediation Association – you can become debt free

Once you have applied for a debt review, a debt counsellor is appointed to you and will inform all credit providers and credit bureaus of the application within 5 business days upon accepting the application.

The credit provider is then required to provide a Certificate of Balance (COB), providing the debt counsellor with account details illustrating debt for the assessment. This information assists the debt counsellor to perform an affordability assessment, and thereafter provide an accurate result as to whether the consumer is over-indebted and qualifies for debt counselling.

Let our experienced team help you

Our highly qualified team of debt counsellors is experienced in mediation and the training of expertly managing your financial situation, and with your consent tailoring a suitable solution. If you are over-indebted, we can assist you with going through the various legal and debt management solutions on offer, with the aim of determining which one suits your particular situation best.

Not only do we assist where needed, we also offer self-help tools for consumers to use when assessing their financial situation. This means that where possible and with efficiently managed budgets and lifestyle changes, our clients can rehabilitate themselves. We know it's easy to complete various online loan applications and get further into debt but advise that all customers refrain from taking on more debt during the process.

We provide independent solutions that are geared towards assisting you to become debt free or otherwise manage your debt properly. We also offer consumers advice on all credit related matters, including referrals to appropriate channels where you can receive assistance where the NDMA has no jurisdiction.

How do I qualify?

The debt counsellor will conduct an assessment in accordance with the NCA regulations when determining if the consumer is over-indebted. It also helps determine the amount available to repay debt. Once declared over-indebted, the process will begin with payment proposals being issued to all creditors and the consolidated debt payment plan is bestowed on the consumer. A negotiated term and rate is fought for on your behalf by our reliable debt counsellors, ensuring that you have the best deal possible when it comes to your budget requirements.

Once all is in order, you will be obligated to pay one smaller instalment month to month until such time that the entire debt is settled.

Clearance certificate issued

You will receive a clearance certificate at the end of your term that you can give to your creditors in order for your name to become clear from the credit listings.

Join us today at the National Debt Mediation Association and let us help you get your financial freedom back.
