What happens if I can’t pay back the loan?
If you are unable to pay back your personal or payday loan for whatever reason, we will have to report this to the credit provider that has granted you the loan. This information will then form part of your credit history and may negatively affect your credit score in the future.
If you contact us to let us know of your struggles, we will review your reasons and readjust your monthly repayment terms as far as possible.
What is the service fee for?
A service fee refers to the fee that you are charged by the financial credit provider for servicing the credit agreement between you and them. The fee is for all administration costs incurred for maintaining the agreement. How you are charged this fee, is at the discretion of the credit provider.
It can be charged as one lump sum, monthly or per transaction. This fee is regulated by the credit act. The maximum a client can be charged per month for this fee is R50.00 or R600 per year.
What is the code of practice?
The code of practice was put in place by the NCA (National Credit Act) to protect you the consumer. This code ensures that the financial lender has responsible lending practices and will not enter into any financial agreement without all the proper checks being done.
It is the credit provider’s responsibility to make sure that you can afford to take the personal cash loan and determine your level of affordability. They need to assess your current financial obligations and prevent over-indebtedness. The loan should not impact you negatively or place you under further financial strain.
