The loan should suit your needs

There are a lot of different types of personal loans available to you and you should be careful in deciding which loan you'd like to apply for as well as repayment terms that suit your pocket.

It’s your money

Once the loan has been granted, you'll be able to use the money for any purpose that you desire. If you have an existing debt or accounts to pay it's always best to settle these debts first.

Fixed interest rates

Use a service that provides a fixed interest rate; this will help you when complaining about your budget and eliminate nasty surprises when it comes to repayment of your long or short-term loan.

You need to ensure that you fully understand the agreement you're entering into and all the terms and conditions associated with the loan before you accept the offer.

Debt consolidation with Direct Choice

If you have a lot of accounts or debt you may want to consider consolidating your debt. A personal loan can be used to do this. You'll be able to choose a longer repayment period with fixed installments and this will, in turn, improve your cash flow.

Benefits of Direct Choice's loans

  • Easy online loan application process
  • Repayment terms are fixed
  • Repayment options range from 24 months up to 6 years
  • You can expect the money in your account within 48 hours.

What I need to apply

  • A good credit record
  • To be employed and earn at least R 5 000 a month for a minimum of 3 months
  • The details of your South African bank account
  • A clear copy of your South African ID
  • Proof of residence (no older than 3 months)
  • Your last 3 months' pay slips or bank statement

Personal protection plan

All loans include a personal protection plan that will cover all outstanding amounts owing on your loan in the event of your death or in the event you become permanently disabled.

This plan also has limited cover available in the event of temporary disability or retrenchment. The level of cover will be subject to your risk profile.

Understand your credit record

Your credit record determines if a financial institution will lend you money. A good credit record will make it easier for you to obtain credit when you'd like to open a bank account or purchase a house or a car.

When you pay your account correctly and don’t default on payments your credit score is increased and you start to build a solid credit record.

The better your credit record, the more likely you will be granted credit in the future. Having a bad credit record may result in being blacklisted.

Quick and convenient

Direct Choice's convenient service aims to give you, the customer, a choice between a host of reputable financial lenders.

This takes the guesswork out of choosing a service provider for your loan for bad credit or other forms of credit. All providers are registered and comply with all the terms and conditions set out by the NCA.
